Your first week: a setup checklist

A practical order of operations for getting a studio or solo account fully running.

Work through this list in order. Each step unlocks the next one — schedules need people, finance needs shifts, analytics needs data.

    Day 1 — foundation

    1. Finish onboarding: name, timezone, reporting currency.
    2. Set your password manager entry and enable two-factor authentication on the owner account.
    3. Review notification settings so you only get the alerts you care about.

    Day 2 — people

    1. Invite creators from Members → Add member. Each invite creates their personal workspace.
    2. Invite operators and staff if other people run shifts or handle finance.
    3. Set roles deliberately — see roles and permissions.

    Day 3 — schedule

    1. Create shift slots for your regular hours.
    2. Publish the first week of shifts and let creators confirm them.
    3. Decide whether creators may request free-form shifts outside slots.

    Day 4 — money

    1. Configure revenue splits.
    2. Record any recurring expenses.
    3. Do a dry run of a payout batch with a single creator before running the full one.

Day 5 — data and reporting

    1. Connect platform integrations where available.
    2. Complete a few shifts so the dashboard has real hours and earnings.
    3. Open analytics and confirm the totals match what you expect.

    Ongoing

Check the morning brief from the Be assistant at the start of each day; it summarizes yesterday and flags what needs attention.
