Your first week: a setup checklist
A practical order of operations for getting a studio or solo account fully running.
5 min readGeneral
Work through this list in order. Each step unlocks the next one — schedules need people, finance needs shifts, analytics needs data.
Day 1 — foundation
- Finish onboarding: name, timezone, reporting currency.
- Set your password manager entry and enable two-factor authentication on the owner account.
- Review notification settings so you only get the alerts you care about.
Day 2 — people
- Invite creators from Members → Add member. Each invite creates their personal workspace.
- Invite operators and staff if other people run shifts or handle finance.
- Set roles deliberately — see roles and permissions.
Day 3 — schedule
- Create shift slots for your regular hours.
- Publish the first week of shifts and let creators confirm them.
- Decide whether creators may request free-form shifts outside slots.
Day 4 — money
- Configure revenue splits.
- Record any recurring expenses.
- Do a dry run of a payout batch with a single creator before running the full one.
Day 5 — data and reporting
- Connect platform integrations where available.
- Complete a few shifts so the dashboard has real hours and earnings.
- Open analytics and confirm the totals match what you expect.
