Platform statistics: members, models and whales

    How much a member spends across the whole platform, a model's rank there, Whale in the room and the new Retention Radar signals: where these numbers come from and how to read them.

    BeMetrix shows not only your own data but also public platform statistics from a third-party provider: how much a member spends across the whole platform, not only with your models, where a model ranks on the platform, and which of the platform's big spenders are in her room right now.

    Where the data comes from

    It is an estimate based on public tips on the platform, before the platform's commission; private shows are mostly not included. It does not replace your income data and is not used for payouts: income, splits and payouts are still calculated from your own data.

    Public statistics are not available for every platform. Some members tip privately or under another name — then the member card says "No public tips from this member".

    A member across the whole platform

    The member card — in a studio and in a model's or solo creator's workspace — has an On the platform block:

    • Last 30 days and All time — how much the member spent across the whole platform;
    • Last tip — when and how much;
    • Models in 2 weeks — how many models on the platform they tipped and how many they messaged;
    • their rank among the platform's members over 30 days — if the member is in the platform's ranking;
    • Daily spending, last 30 days — a chart;
    • Who they tipped in the last 30 days — the platform's models and the amounts.

    At the bottom of the block you see "Estimate based on public tips on the platform" and the update date.

    When the data is updated

    Every day for members who paid your models at least the threshold from the Member spending across the platform card in the last 30 days ($10 by default), and for members in Retention Radar. The threshold is set in Settings → Team Defaults in a studio and in Settings → Notifications for a solo creator. Other members are checked when you open their card, if the data is more than 20 hours old.

    Checks have a monthly limit. When it is used up, the block says "This month's card check limit is used up" or "Checks for this month have run out", and the last known data is shown.

    The member list

    The member list (Members in a studio, My Members for a model or a solo creator) has a Spends on platform column: how much the member spent across the whole platform in the last 30 days, as an estimate. "—" means they have not been checked yet, "not visible" means there are no public tips. In the filter, Spends on platform: from $50 (or from $200, $500, $1,000) keeps members who spent at least that much, and Spends on platform: all shows everyone. Models and solo creators can also sort the list with Sort: By platform spending. A workspace user sees the column, the filter and the sort only with the Money permission.

    New Retention Radar signals

    • Spends with other models — the member is silent with your models (for at least the Radar's Silence threshold), but has spent at least $20 on the platform since their last payment to your models. For a valuable member this adds 30 points of risk, so with the default settings an alert appears even if the model kept working. The alert shows how much they spent after leaving and how many other models they tipped in 2 weeks.
    • Gone from the platform — since their last payment to your models they have not tipped anyone on the platform. This is only a mark and does not change the risk: such a member is harder to win back with a message, because they left the whole platform.

    In the alert row a signal shows as a badge, and in the alert window under the same name. The signals are set only when the data is fresh; if a member's public tips are not visible, there is no signal. How the Radar works: Retention Radar.

    Whale in the room

    While a model is live on Chaturbate or Stripchat, we check who is in her room every 5 minutes. A whale is a member who spent at least the workspace threshold across the whole platform in the last 30 days, but almost nothing in this room in 30 days (less than $20) — in other words, new to the model.

    • The threshold is the Whale in the room card: Settings → Team Defaults in a studio, Settings → Notifications for a solo creator. $500 by default; 0 turns it off.
    • The Whale in the room badge appears next to the model in the Team list and in the header of the model's card in a studio; for a model or a solo creator, in the top bar of the workspace next to the bell. Its tooltip shows the member's name and how much they spent on the platform in 30 days.
    • The Whale in the room notification goes to the bell and to Telegram, not to email — no more than one a day for the same member in the same room. It is in the Members group of the notification settings.

    Don't confuse it with the Whale member tier in the member list: that one is based on spending with your models, not across the whole platform.

    A model on the platforms

    The model's card (in a studio, open the model from Team) has an On the platforms block; models and solo creators find it in My Analytics → Platforms. For each of the model's platform accounts:

    • Platform rank — the model's rank on the platform, how it changes and the best rank in 30 days, with a chart of the rank by day;
    • Income, 30 days — an estimate;
    • Broadcasts, 30 days — the number of broadcasts and hours;
    • Members, 30 days — new and returning;
    • Shows, last 7 days — minutes by show type and private prices;
    • Top tippers, last 30 days.

    The block is updated once a day. Only active models are checked — those on your plan and not archived. If the block says there is no platform data, either the room is small (smaller rooms are not included in the platform's public statistics) or the account username is wrong — then fix it.

    Who sees what

    The workspace owner sees everything. A workspace user sees this data only for the models in their role: amounts only with the Money permission for that model, member names with the Members or Retention Radar section. More in roles and permissions.

    Be and the Studio Assistant

    Be and the Studio Assistant in AI Insights answer questions about this data: which models are live right now, whose rooms have whales now or over a period, a model's rank and income on the platform, how much a member spends on the platform (give their username), what is happening in the market. Answers stay within your permissions. More about the market: Market Pulse.
